Paul Ricard

Paul Ricard (9 July 1909 – 7 November 1997) was a French entrepreneur and founder of the eponymous company, which merged in 1975 with its competitor Pernod to become Pernod Ricard.

In 1970 Ricard built the Circuit Paul Ricard, a race track where the Formula 1 Grand Prix took place 14 times from 1971–1990.
